1. Who we are

The Masterplan Studio ("we", "us", "our") is an interior design and renovation studio based at 511 Guillemard Rd, #01-50, Grandlink Square, Singapore 399849. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

By contacting us or using this website you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not provide your personal data to us.

2. What personal data we collect

Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and WhatsApp number.

Property and project details: property type, estate or address, key collection or renovation timeline, budget range, floor plans, photographs of your home and any notes you send about your renovation.

Correspondence: messages you send us via WhatsApp, phone, email, the enquiry form or social media, and notes from consultations and showroom visits.

Contract and payment details when you engage us: NRIC or identification details required for permits, billing address, quotation, invoices and payment records.

Website data: pages visited, device type, browser and approximate location, if analytics tools are enabled on this website (see section 7).

3. How we collect it

Directly from you, when you fill in the enquiry form, message us on WhatsApp, call, email, book a consultation, visit the showroom or sign a renovation contract.

From third parties you authorise, such as a family member enquiring on your behalf, or a property agent or developer who refers you to us.

Automatically, through cookies or similar technologies on this website, only where such tools are enabled.

4. Why we use your personal data

To respond to your enquiry and prepare design proposals, site measurements and quotations.

To plan, manage and carry out renovation works you engage us for, including applying for HDB, MCST or other permits and coordinating with our site team, carpenters and suppliers.

To communicate with you about your project, appointments, invoices and after-sales service.

To send you information about our packages, promotions and completed projects, where you have consented or where permitted by law. You can opt out at any time.

To showcase completed projects on our website and social media. We only publish photographs of your home with your agreement and never publish your name or unit number without permission.

To comply with legal, regulatory and accounting obligations, and to protect our legal rights.

5. Consent and withdrawing consent

By providing your personal data for a purpose listed above, you consent to us collecting, using and disclosing it for that purpose.

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us using the details in section 11. We will process your request within a reasonable time and tell you the likely consequences, for example that we can no longer continue a project or reply to your enquiry. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before we received your request.

We do not send marketing messages to Singapore telephone numbers registered with the Do Not Call Registry unless we have your clear and unambiguous consent.

6. Who we share it with

Our site team, sub-contractors and suppliers, only to the extent needed to carry out your renovation (for example carpentry, plumbing, electrical and delivery partners).

Government agencies and building management, such as HDB, BCA or your condominium's MCST, when a permit or approval is required for the works.

Service providers that help us run our business, such as messaging, email, cloud storage, accounting and website hosting providers. These providers are bound by contractual or legal obligations to protect your data.

Professional advisers, insurers, or authorities where required by law or to defend our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Third-party services on this website

WhatsApp: the enquiry form and WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp on your device with a message pre-filled from the details you entered. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by Meta's privacy policy.

Google Maps and Google Fonts: this website loads maps and fonts from Google, which may receive your IP address and browser information. Google's privacy policy applies.

Analytics and advertising pixels: if we enable tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta pixel, they set cookies to measure how the website is used and how enquiries are generated. You can block cookies in your browser settings.

Session storage: the website remembers, for the current browser session only, that you have closed our consultation pop-up. This is not shared with anyone.

8. Overseas transfers

Some service providers (for example messaging, email and cloud hosting) may store data outside Singapore. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient protects your data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

9. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for up to 12 months so we can follow up, then deleted unless you ask us to keep them.

Project files, contracts, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as needed to complete the project, honour warranties and after-sales service, and meet legal and accounting requirements (generally at least five years).

Project photographs used in our portfolio are kept for as long as they are published, and removed on request.

10. How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including password-protected devices and accounts, limiting access to staff and contractors who need it, and secure disposal of documents. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission where required if a data breach affects you.

11. Access, correction and contact

You may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, or to correct an error. We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests and will respond within 30 days where practicable.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with the effective date below. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
